Finished

I finally finished the stair railing job on Thursday. The homeowner is staining everything, so when that is done, I will get final pics. So here are some pics.

Too Much

OK, something's gotta give. I was perusing through Rat's page this evening, and I get to this pic of a sexy little thing in a pink thong laying on some carpeted stairs. Then I caught myself looking at the background of the stair railing. WTF?!!? I need help, serious help.

On a positive note, the stair job will be completed within a coupple days(maybe then I will get back to the important stuff).

I dunno

I started a stair job yesterday. Basically putting up railing and ballusters. Not sure yet if I will do another. I don't do too many stair jobs, so there's a lot of head scratching going. I am a perfectionist though, and everything has to be precise, which is good because when you're installing railing--Precision counts. I'll post pics when it's complete.

It's Hot

And I ain't talkin' about sexy hot. Of course I'm a lucky bastard that gets to work outside for my profession. At least I'm not doing roofing or street paving...that would be pure hell.

That Was FUN!

Just got back from flying....man was that fun. I haven't been flying at night since training for my license. One word: awesome! Flying at night is so peaceful, the air is smooth, the lights of all the towns are neat, it's just plain 'ol fun. I get giddy when I fly at night. And now I'm current, which means I can take passengers at night. So who wants to go first? Have a great weekend!

Shave This

I found this on a discussion forum and had to laugh. And it made me think: Do you shave, and is it just for appearance or is it for your pleasure? Personally I like a nice trimmed area down there.

Exhausted

Exhausting weekend. Saturday, went to a state park and hiked the trails. Did probably five to six miles, up hills and gorges and back down. Weather was great, but now my legs are feeling it.

Today I went boating. The lake was busy, but after it settled down a bit I thought I'd try my hand at getting up on a wake-board. After three attempts and sucking down too much water, I decided to ski. It's been about 12 years since I've been water skiing, so the first try wasn't pretty. On the second, I popped right out of the water. Tons of fun. But I strained something in my upper back/shoulder area, not fun. A little rest and it will be fine.

So how was everybody else's weekend?

Yeah, I've been slacking

So I've been slacking with my blog this week. Suck it!

Anyhoo, not much has been going on. Went flying last friday and saturday...friday was hazy, which isn't much fun, and then saturday was clearer yet bumpy. Gotta love summertime flying. I did get to see a B-17 bomber in the pattern at an airport. I was overflying at 3000ft. and it was getting ready to land. The owners give rides in this classic warbird to help pay for expenses($400 for 45 min. ride), and it is a great way to keep these planes in the air.

So the 4th was good, went to a friends house and had a cookout, then went down to the lake and watched the fireworks. Today I get to build some new fence for the horses, at least it's not humid like last week.
