Just a note: I will be leaving the state in the morning and won't be back until the 4th. I know, I know, what will the world do without Flyboy's blog? Anyhoo, talk at ya later.

It Has Begun
I got a call from a neighbor the other day. Said he had some grapes and if I wanted some I could have them. So I'm thinking: WINE TIME!!! Hell yeah I want some grapes. I conned my Dad into going and picking them with me. And this is what we got....well, this is half. I got 6 buckets full of concord. So by next spring, I'll have a lot of wine.
and maybe another award, methinks silver this time

Busy Weekend
I sure hope everybody had as much fun this weekend as I did. I went to the Indy IrishFest on Saturday, what a blast. My favorite band wasn't there, but a lot of other good bands were. I got to see Mother Grove, Briggid's Cross, and a little bit of Gaelic Storm. Gaelic Storm is a band from Australia, and they were on the movie Titanic. It's been a while since I saw the movie, but I'm pretty sure they were the ones playing in the lower hold of the ship and people were dancing. I also saw some cool stuff to buy, one being a Utilikilt. Yeah, crazy, I know....but these things look cool.
So today I went boating....actually waverunning, the boat had a dead battery. Spent a few hours on a waverunner and that was fun. Got a little sunburned, but not too bad.
Well crap, tomorrow starts another work week. Gotta check the weather to see if I'll be able to work outside. Anyhoo, hope y'all have a good week.

Won't Get That Back
I did some work on my truck a couple days ago...had to repair a worn steering part. As I was doing this I rotated the tires. Put everything back together and drive. The steering doesn't have any slop like it used to, but it pulled to the left. So I call and make an appointment to get an alignment at the dealership. They open at 7:30, my appointment was at 8. I arrive at 7:30, a little early, and they take the truck back...alignments take about an hour. Two hours and a few minutes later, the service writer comes and explains they had trouble freeing up some nuts, but they are doing the work and it shouldn't be too long. Well they test drive the truck, and come back...do some more work and test drive the truck. Then the service writer comes and tells me the alignment is right on, but.....it still pulls to the left!! So I have them swap the front tires... now it pulls to the right! So all-in-all, I have a bad tire, and I didn't get out of there until 1:30. I wanted to, but couldn't be pissed at them.. they did the job, made sure it was done right, and didn't charge me for any of the extra time it took for the extra work. It actually came to less than they quoted me on the phone.
My faith in dealership services has been renewed.

Is It Over Already?
The weekend went by pretty damn quick. I went to the Pork Festival in a local town...it's pretty much a street fair with a pig theme. Ran into my past there, but got away unscathed.
Saturday evening I went to a party at my aunt's place. She started throwing these once a year, started out three years ago for her wedding aniversary. It was pretty subdued this year, unlike last year when she was downing the jaegermeister like it was candy. Everybody was playing cornhole, beer-pong, and flippy cup and getting drunk. It was fun though...I brought my required spiced rum and cider....now that's some good stuff. So yesterday I was feeling quasi-hungover, so I didn't do too much.
And now to the imortant stuff:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PUD!!!!

Thinking
I'm thinking about putting some of my "artwork" for sale on e-bay...I'll keep inquiring minds updated.
